The ADSWAC Project continues to promote environmental education and climate change adaptation activities in the municipalities of Calai and Cuangar, engaging schools, teachers, students, and local authorities.

In the municipality of Calai, the Green Schools Programme carried out an activity at Vanda School, where teacher Conceição led a lesson on climate change mitigation measures. Following the educational session, students and teachers participated in a tree-planting activity, reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation and the restoration of green spaces. The activity was attended by the school’s Pedagogical Director and Headmistress.

In the municipality of Cuangar, the project supported the strengthening of school gardens through the distribution of agricultural tools and seeds to three schools: Complexo Sede School, Mantendo School, and Sede Primary School.

Wheelbarrows, hoes, machetes, rakes, and seeds for cabbage, tomatoes, and onions were distributed to improve conditions for agricultural production in schools and promote hands-on learning among students.

The activity was attended by the Municipal Director of Education, David Canjamba, and the Director of the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, Abílio Ndumba, who accompanied the distribution of materials and highlighted the importance of school gardens in environmental and nutrition education.
