ADSWAC Strengthens Regional Capacities and Monitors Environmental Actions in Calai Municipality
The ADSWAC Project recently carried out two prominent activities involving technical teams from both Angola and Namibia, as well as the national environmental education structure.
Regional Training in Rundu, Namibia
The 2nd Regional Training of the ADSWAC Project was held in Rundu, Namibia, bringing together teams from both countries for joint capacity building. The training aimed to strengthen participants’ technical skills and deepen the knowledge needed for the development of Community Adaptation Actions.
During the meeting, practical sessions and experience-sharing moments were conducted, promoting the harmonization of methodologies and strengthening cross-border cooperation in addressing the impacts of climate change.
Mission of the National Director of Environmental Education in Calai Municipality
During the same period, the National Director of Environmental Education, Dr. Karélia Costa, conducted a work mission to Calai Municipality, where she visited schools participating in the Green Schools Program and monitored the progress of environmental education activities developed under the ADSWAC Project.
According to the Ministry of Environment, the visit aimed to strengthen the monitoring of ongoing activities and consolidate local capacities to ensure the continuity and sustainability of the program.
The director also visited one of the local producer organization’s fields, where she observed sustainable agricultural activities and community practices for adapting to climate change.
